Client Ad Requirements:

  • You or your company must be or have been a client of Bubby Gram
  • Your ad must fit into an area 250 pixels x 200 pixels (Usually a logo and a few lines of copy)
    (see sample and mini-lesson below)
  • If you are providing a logo, it must fit into the proportions above and be "Saved for the Web" in Photoshop format, or, preferably, you can create your entire ad in Photoshop and send that. (No flashing ads, please)
  • You can include a weblink, a phone number or an email address. Weblinks and email addresses will be clickable.
  • If you are getting a weblink, we would really appreciate a reciprocal link, if possible
  • If you really can't wrap your brain around all this coding mumbo jumbo, just send me your logo and ad copy and I'll do it, but trust me, it will get done a lot faster if YOU do it!
  • We strongly suggest you include some kind of special offer (discount, freebie) available only via your ad here. If all the merchants do that, people will continue to come back to the page on a regular basis, looking for the latest deals, thus generating more traffic to the page/site, and creating a win-win-win situation.
  • If we hear bad things about your business practices, your ad will be immediately pulled
  • Ads to non-functioning links will be removed
  • We cannot run ads which conflict with our business (i.e. competitors' agencies)
  • We will not run ads for businesses which we deem to be abhorrant or unethical (i.e. NeoNazi Tattoo Parlor, Hamas Recruiting Center, Halliburton)
  • The ultimate design of the ad and editing of copy will be at our discretion.
  • Please keep your ad "timeless." We simply don't have the woman-hours to update each ad regularly (unless it's something really important and timely -- i.e. somebody needs a bone marrow transplant or you're having a once-a-year 75% off showroom sale.)
  • Ads should be sent to: ads@bubbygram.com using the subject line: "Client ad for Bubby Gram." You may be stopped at the border by my spam blocker. I view all unsolicited mail before deleting. With this subject line, I will probably catch it, but to be sure, fill out the request to be "admitted" which will be sent to you by my server.
  • Please provide all your contact information (phone, email, address of your business, etc. in the email, even if it's NOT included in the ad. This is for my own files.
  • Also include the name your event was booked under, and the approximate date so I can find you in my records and confirm that you are, indeed, a former client.
  • None of this information will be sold or otherwise distributed without your permission.
  • Note: we cannot prevent unwanted solicitors from contacting you via your ads (Ah, if we only had that power!)

For those who know HTML:

Submitting as HTML code will make my life much easier,
and I'd even be willing to update your ad semi-regularly, if you send me
clean code, all ready to drop into the page...
so if you can send HTML with your graphics, please do!
Note: Graphics will be stored in the same directory as the ad page;
or you can link to appropriate sized graphics already on your web page

Please adapt this basic code, changing what's in red to suit your ad.
Use your company or ad name when naming your graphics
i.e. "yettasshmatas.jpg" NOT "logo.jpg"
Note: please keep EVERYTHING lower case, as in the example below.
Feel free to use whatever standard fonts,
formatting, color, background colors you like.
The ad page uses this same background.

To create your own ad, copy and paste the above code
into Windows Notepad or Mac equivalent. (Do Not Use Word!)
Replace my copy and graphics (in red) with your own. Play with the background
and font colors. You can change the fonts to any listed in my ad.
To view your own version, save it to your hard drive and open it
with your web browser. You can keep the browser and the Notepad
file open, side by side, and go back and forth, tweaking and
checking results. When you like what you see, copy the code into an email
and send it to me. Be sure to attach your logo/graphics, checking that the name is
IDENTICAL (both, all lower case) to that in your code
